Samvritha Sunil tied the knot with Akhil Raj, engineer in Walt Disney in California, USA. The wedding took place at Kannur Cantonment's Vastava Cliff house.

Akhil Raj, son of Jayaraj and Deepa is originally from Kozhikode. The groom-to-be arrived in his hometown a few days before the wedding. The marriage proceedings took place at Kannur's Vastava Maidan. The wedding was attended by the who's-who of the Malayalam film industry. A few well known politicians also attended the marriage.

A special wedding reception party has also been arranged on November 6 in Le-Meridian hotel in Ernakulam for the friends and close associates of the newly weds. Prominent personalities from the film fraternity are expected to attend the grand reception. Samvrutha Sunil will accompany her husband Akhil Raj to California on November 21st.
